The Beverly Hospital Foundation held their Annual Golf Classic at the Hacienda Golf Club in La Habra Heights on Monday, October 23, 2017. Major sponsors included Arthur J. Gallagher, Bank of the West, Lillian Gong, CPA and Moss Adams.
The event was attended by 123 golfers who weathered temperatures over 100 degrees! The heat made it a tough day on the course, but by the end of the Tournament everyone emerged triumphant they had finished all 18 holes. The Hacienda Club Golf Course resides in a lush valley hidden in La Habra Heights, boasting beautiful and peaceful scenery for those fortunate to be invited to this private club. Volunteers ran contests at several holes, encouraging support for Beverly Hospital. Bloody Marys were offered to golfers to help them beat the heat!
After the round of golf, the attendees sat down to an excellent buffet that entailed freshly carved tri tip and chicken, mashed potatoes, pasta, green beans and salad with rolls, with brownies and other treats for dessert.
Following dinner, emcee Sid Garcia from ABC Eyewitness News closed the Silent Auction. Winners were thrilled with the prizes, which included tickets to Hamilton, tickets to Disneyland, a 45 bottle wine refrigerator and Lakers and Kings tickets! Tournament Winners were presented golf club head covers, beautifully handmade by the Beverly Hospital Guild members. Net proceeds from this Tournament were more than $87,000, and will be used for critical needs at Beverly Hospital.
