Accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators, the Beverly Hospital Diabetes Center is dedicated to the management and education of people with diabetes. Our comprehensive team approach involves working with doctors, nurses, registered dietitians and diabetes educators, to develop a customized treatment plan for each individual patient.

Community Diabetes Lectures

Education is the most important tool of diabetes care. For people with diabetes or at risk for diabetes, gaining the knowledge and skills needed to modify behavior and successfully self-manage the disease and its conditions could make a difference in their lives. The Beverly Hospital Diabetes Center offers monthly free diabetes lectures open to the community.

The California Diabetes and Pregnancy “Sweet Success” Program

The Beverly Hospital Diabetes Center offers The CDAPP Sweet Success Program for pregnant women who have diabetes or develop gestational diabetes during their pregnancy. The program is part of the California Diabetes and Prevention Program, which seeks to improve pregnancy outcomes, reduce fetal deaths, and neonatal and maternal complications due to diabetes.

  • A Registered Dietitian specializing in prenatal health and diabetes, works closely with each mom to set up goals and meal plans.
  • A Diabetes Educator provides training in blood sugar monitoring during pregnancy.
